This Privacy Policy explains what information Poker War ("Poker War", "we", "us") collects when you use the Poker War mobile app and this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what the game actually needs to run.
1. Who we are
Poker War is a strategic mobile card game for iOS and Android. You can reach us any time at playpokerwar@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what the game needs to give you an account, run matches, and keep play fair:
- Account & authentication identifiers — the email address and/or the authentication identifier from your sign-in provider (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password). Poker War has no guest accounts: an account is required for online play.
- Display name — the public name you choose, shown to opponents and friends.
- Match data — your matches, moves, results, and game history, used to run and resolve games and to keep play server-authoritative.
- Friends & challenges — your friend connections, friend requests, blocks, and exhibition challenges.
- Ratings, coins & cosmetics — your ranked rating (MMR), tier, earned coins, owned cosmetics, and which cosmetics you have equipped.
- Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, a device push token so we can alert you to your turn, match results, and social events. You control this in your device settings and in the app's notification preferences.
- Device & app diagnostics — if we add crash and performance diagnostics in a future release, they will be limited to technical information (such as device model, OS version, and error logs) used to fix problems and improve stability. This policy will be updated before any such collection begins.
We do not ask for your real name, contacts, photos, precise location, or any payment card details. Any purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see your card or banking information.
3. How we use your information
- Create and secure your account and authenticate you.
- Run matches, validate moves server-side, and resolve outcomes fairly.
- Maintain your rating, coins, cosmetic inventory, and progression.
- Provide friends, challenges, and exhibition matches.
- Send gameplay and social push notifications you have opted into.
- Prevent cheating, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
- Diagnose problems and improve the game's stability and balance.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We share information only as needed to operate the game:
- Other players see your display name, your public match results, your rating/tier, and your equipped cosmetics.
- Service providers that host and power the game — for example Supabase (database, authentication, and backend) and the Apple/Expo/Google push delivery services — process data on our behalf under their own terms.
- Legal — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our players and service.
5. We do not sell your personal data
Poker War does not sell your personal data, and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not run third-party ad networks in the game.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time — see our Delete Account page for how to request it, what is removed, and the timeline.
7. Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), row-level security on our database so players can only read their own private data, and server-authoritative validation of every ranked outcome. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
8. Children
Poker War is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The game is intended for a general, mature-casual audience and contains no real-money gambling. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at playpokerwar@gmail.com and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email playpokerwar@gmail.com. You can also manage your display name, notification preferences, and account directly in the app.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game evolves (for example, if we add diagnostics or new features). We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
